Children are developing the ability to make logical connections between ideas. Their pretend play includes more logical sequences and complex ideas. Imaginary themes come to life through literature (or story books), equipment exploration and group activities. Beanbags, scarves, hoops, puppets and other props are used as symbols for thoughts and ideas. An independent play component builds self-confidence and encourages cooperative play.
